My name is Ms. Nichole. I am so excited to be a BTSALP Dance Teacher for Granite School District. My mission is to teach curriculum integrated dance to grades K-6.
I received my BA/BS in Elementary Education with a minor in French from the University of Utah (Go Utes!!). Then I earned my Masters of Educational Leadership and Policy, also from the U of U. Before I became a dance teacher for BTSALP, I was a Granite School District Elementary Arts Teacher teaching dance, drama, music, and visual art. I also spent several years as a regular classroom teacher. Growing up I studied ballet with the Ballet West Conservatory and then continued my ballet studies at the University of Utah. I competed nationwide in Scottish Highland Dancing and became certified to teach Highland Dancing through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. I also studied modern dance, jazz, tap, character dance, drill team, and several other cultural types of dance. I enjoy sharing my continued curiosity and love of learning with students, parents, and colleagues.
